Aim: The aim of the project is that knowledge directly from children and young people becomes part of the knowledge base in professional education programs for students who will work with children and young people in the Nordic and Baltic region. Innovative ways of including knowledge from children and young people in teaching and reading lists within these education programs will be developed and documented.
This contributes to safe and effective schools, kindergartens, and services, as well as more efficient use of resources within systems for children and young people.
Result: A website with concrete descriptions of how children and young people, and their knowledge, can become part of teacher education and child welfare education programs.

Aim: The aim of the project is to enable local decision-makers to better secure the rights children have to be involved in decisions that affects them in their municipality (article 3, 12 in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child)

Result: Develop methods and tools in collaboration with children, that local decisionmakers can use to collect viewpoints from children under the age of 18

Aim: The aim of this project is to contribute to children’s right to participate in decision-making processes being taken more seriously by decision-makers.
The project will make decision-makers aware of how this right is not sufficiently secured, and why it is important for them to take this right more seriously. A core idea throughout the project is for children and young people to convey their own rights. In the project, young people living in various life situations will be actively involved. This contributes to safe and effective schools, kindergartens, and services, as well as more efficient use of resources within systems for children and young people.

Result: The project will produce inspirational films for decisionmakers in schools, municipality and national government, for why children has to be part of decision.

Local Youth Xperts

Partners: Politicians and administration in Voss Herad and Nittedal (Norway)
Aim: Young people from minorities and vulnerable life situations get to be experts and design tools that enable young people like them to be heard in local decision-making processes that affect young people.
Result: Tools that decision-makers in municipalities can use to quickly gather advice and feedback from all young people in the municipality, or a specific group of young people.

Our Rights, Our Future

Aim: Promote children’s rights to young people under the age of 18 and to adults working with children. When children and adults are aware of children’s rights, it can prevent violations and contribute to strengthening the rights. A core idea is for children and young people to convey their own rights to other children and young people. In this project, young people living in various life situations will be actively involved in creating information materials to raise awareness, inspire, and educate. It is the young people themselves that will decide on the form of the actual materials, but examples can be photos, text, videos, social media campaigns etc.
Result: Results of this project will be a website with photos, text, videos and a newsletter designed for both children and adults – on children’s rights – made by children.A core idea is for children and young people to convey their own rights to other children and young people.

Learn Safely
Financial support: Erasmus+

Partners: Comparte (Portugal)
Aim: Develop tools for better learning are developed in collaboration with students and teachers.
Result: An online course with films and a tool booklet that teachers can use to make everyday school life as safe as possible for as many pupils as possible, and a booklet with experiences and tips on how several European organisations can work together, that is shared between the organisations.
